From its hillside location, the small village of Monasteraden commands unspoilt views over the lakes of Lough Gara, and beyond to the plains of Boyle.  Ideal as a stop off on a touring holiday or for longer stays, the lodge is very conveniently located to a large variety of high quality attractions, heritage centres, activity venues and parks, some of which are world class.
